Santo Domingo Places of Interest

Santo Domingo is a repository of the historic past of the Dominican Republic. Be it the family of Columbus or the ruthless Spanish Conquistadors or even the accomplished film maker Steven Spielberg, strangely everyone has a link to this place. The street of Calle de Las Damas with a number of old buildings including the Ozama Fortress is an apt beginning for the tour.
